Overview)
Recognizing
and rewarding outstanding performance both academically and
socially is an integral part of West Island College's educational
philosophy. The College has an effective student record administration
program, but did not have the ability to detail qualitative
results, such as the rankings of citizenship points. TKCS
designed such a system, resulting in the following advantages:
Increases Student Tracking & Reporting Capabilities:
- Calculates
and summarizes "letter grades" through a complex
series of functions and parameters defined by West Island
College
- Calculates
eligibility for academic and community awards
- Tracks
House Points, an internal reward system developed by the
College
Creates
Administrative Efficiencies:
- Creates
reports on demand allowing progress reports to be generated
throughout the year
- Automates
a significant administrative undertaking
- Simplifies
the Headmaster's task of assigning an overall Citizenship
mark
- Interfaces
with the school administration program, eliminating effort
and errors associated with double entry of data
- Assists
with managing the entry of information to ensure complete
records for each student
